Events & Programs Earth Day Beach Cleanup April 21 When? Saturday, April 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Where? Sea Grape Pavilion at Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park in Dania Beach Why? Marine debris and plastics are a growing pollution problem affecting our oceans including marine animals and plants. These animals can become entangled and mistake marine debris as food causing death and problems along the food chain. We can make a difference and help clean up litter found along our shorelines! The beach cleanup will include waived park fee, parking, cleaning supplies and refreshments. All you need to bring is a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, a hat, comfortable beach clothes and closed-toed shoes.
