EMPLOYMENT AT THE MUSEUM
Through their individual and collective energy and talent, the staff and volunteers of the Museum of Discovery and Science provide pathways to learning and enjoyment to visitors of all ages.
The Museum offers a dynamic and enriching environment to work in and to volunteer. Opportunities vary, and the following brief descriptions provide insight into available positions. If no listings appear, then there are no employment opportunities currently available. Please check back periodically for future job openings. Please note that because of the volume of resumes and applications received it is not possible to acknowledge receipt, therefore, if you are selected for an interview you will be notified.

- Select “Save Link As…” and save the employment application .pdf file to your device.
- Open the .pdf file in Adobe Acrobat Reader and fill in your details in the application.
- E-mail the completed application .pdf to jobs@mods.net
- Method 2: Print a typed application from a web browser. *See note above; does NOT require Adobe Acrobat Reader, but requires a printer and scanner.
- Click on the fillable employment application link on our employment web page.
- If your browser permits, type in your information.
- Print the employment application.
- Scan the print-out in .pdf format.

POSITION: CONCESSIONS SALES
Friendly Customer Service attitude. Good oral communications skills. Ability to handle cash
register transactions. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with children. Ability to lift up
to 50 pounds and stock the store merchandise in storage and display areas. Work directly with
customers. Maintain a working knowledge of the Museum, the store/concessions, and products
sold.

POSITION: BOX OFFICE CASHIER
Provide excellent customer service with a friendly, professional attitude. Previous customer service and sales experience. Good communications skills. Must be friendly, helpful and kind. Able to work under pressure in constantly changing conditions. Able to stand for long periods of time. Must be available to work holidays, weekends and evenings. Maintain a working knowledge of the Museum of Discovery and Science and the AutoNation IMAX Theater including current films, programs and exhibits.

POSITION: IMAX USHER
Previous customer service experience. Mature attitude. Good communication skills, able to
speak before large groups of visitors. Attention to safety techniques, effectively able to control
crowds of people. Able to work under pressure in constantly changing conditions. Able to stand
for long periods of time. Maintain working knowledge of the Museum of Discovery and Science
and the AutoNation IMAX Theater and their current programs and exhibits.
