Get ready to explore our newest exhibit, “Design Zone” and build your engineering skills! *Satisfies the Mechanical Engineering: Balloon Car Badge Boy Scouts Chemistry Adventure! March 9, 2019 Join us for a fun-filled overnight event while completing milestones for the Boy Scout Chemistry Merit Badge. Scouts will have the opportunity to explore the Museum and learn chemistry basics through exciting hands-on experiments and activities! *Satisfies multiple sections of the Chemistry Merit Badge ONGOING OVERNIGHT THEMES: Roller Coaster Physics Find out why we don’t fall out of roller coasters. Construct your own mini roller coaster with as many loops as you can handle. Then ride the roller coaster in our MaxFlight simulator. Electricity, Engineering and Marshmallows? Build circuits, bridges and marshmallow towers in this engineering competition. Freaky Forensics Step into our forensics lab and learn how scientist use different techniques to solve crimes! Crazy Chemistry Be a scientist for the night and mix your own concoctions. GUTS! Calling all future doctors! Ever wonder what goes on inside the human body? Awesome Animals Meet some of the Museum’s resident animals. Learn what makes them unique and how they survive in the wild. Cosmic Kids Step into our StarLab planetarium and learn about constellations and planets! Fly a rocket! Participate in “Mission Egg Drop.” 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. the next morning. Groups of 40 or more can go on an Overnight Adventure at the Museum. Campers will enjoy exclusive access to hundreds of hands-on exhibits, flight simulators, live animal encounters and then roll out your sleeping bag for a unique night at the Museum. The evening also includes pizza dinner and themed activities! All group programs require one chaperone (18 years or older) for every 10 youth participants. • Minimum paid youth: 40 participants • Maximum capacity: 200 participants (not including chaperones) PRICE: $36 per participant $20 per chaperone Includes pizza dinner, all activities, and exploration of the Museum.
